OVERALL
Participants shall not be allowed to obtain any form of assistance from external parties during the run; however, participants can help each other, within the guidelines as stated for the obstacles.

All obstacles must be cleared and completed before a participant is deemed to have completed the event.

Participants must faithfully follow the course as marked and directed by the Race Officials.

No participant will be barred from the course, disqualified from the event or moved forward on the course unless such actions are authorized by the Race Director.

Race Management reserves the right to change or alter the course at any time for logistical, weather, safety or other reasons.

Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event in the case of force majeure which may include act of war, pandemic, act of Mother Nature which may render the course unsafe or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Race Management.

All participants must wear an unaltered Urbanathlon race number bib at all times during the race.

Race number bibs must be worn on the front of clothing and be clearly visible throughout the event unless directed otherwise by Race Officials.

Participant race number bibs are specific personal identifiers and must be worn only by the contestant to which the bib is assigned.

Sale and/or unauthorised transfer of race entries/bibs is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.

Usage of all portable media players such as iPods is not recommended during the race.

Participants are to dispose of their litter (paper cups/energy bars etc) within the water station areas.

TIMING
All participants will receive a timing chip in the race pack and are required to use it according to the directions provided in the race pack.

All participants must report to the start point at 7.10am for the final pre-race briefing. To ensure a smooth race, race participants will be flagged off in waves at 1-minute intervals with approximately 50 participants each. The first flag-off is at 7.30am.

Runners MUST be punctual, and will not be allowed to run if they miss the last flag-off time.

Participant are to complete the course in the race before the cut-off time specified by the organizer (2.5 hours after flag off time), otherwise they would be deemed disqualified.

Race Headquarters shall maintain the official time clock for the competition. The race clock is based on real time; it begins when the race is flagged off.

RESULTS
All results will be posted on the event website within 48 hours after the race.

Participants’ results will be based on individual D-tag time.

CERTIFICATE
Participants can download and print their personalized certificates from the event website 48 hours after the race.

MEDICAL
Participants shall have access to basic first-aid and may continue on in the race without the risk of being disqualified from the event. Medical Personnel and the Race Director have final say with regard to a participant continuing on in the event.

RACE PROTESTS
Participants may file protests with regard to on-course activities (such as others skipping / not completing an obstacle station) no later than one hour after they finish (or stop competing in) the event.

Protests must be filed at the Information Counter. The Race Director will consider race protests prior to race results being finalized.

Before a protest can be upheld, all participants affected by the protest will meet with the Race Director to formally review the protest. No protest will be upheld without the filing participant being present at this meeting.

Protests on podium finishers (top 3 winners) must be filed within 15 minutes after preliminary results of the winners have been announced/posted on the event day. No protests will be entertained upon expiry of this period.

Race organizers shall have the final say with regard to all issues related to these Rules. Time penalties and disqualifications will be addressed and issued based on each specific circumstance.

AWARDS
Awards will be given out on-site after the race in a prize presentation ceremony, to the top three winners of each category. The winners' names will be announced and posted at the Information Counter prior to Prize Presentation. The winners must be present to receive their awards.

TEAM CATEGORY
Each team shall consist of only 2 team members and both members must complete the entire race. Winning teams will be determined based on the total finish time of both team members. Team Category winners are also entitled to prizes from the Individual Category should they be among the top 3 individuals with the fastest timings.


These Rules may be updated regularly and are subject to change. It is highly recommended that you check back regularly, and especially the day before the race for final confirmation.
